Junk mail can be the source of nuisance, distress and inconvenience for many people.  It can also lead to high levels of waste and also identity fraud.

Formed in December 2007, the All Party Parliamentary Group on Junk Mail is a cross-party group of Parliamentarians that is committed to increasing the awareness of responsible direct mailing.

The Group is a forum for discussing the environmental impact of direct mail and promoting the importance of privacy and data security within the industry.

The All Party Parliamentary Group on Junk Mail also acts as a source of information to the public on how to manage the amount of direct mail they receive and take more control of their personal data.
